With Dr. Fauci and other experts warning of a second wave of COVID in the fall, America must prepare to hold November’s election amidst a deadly pandemic. That means working to make the experience of working and voting at polling places safe and expanding voter options to include early voting, vote by mail, and expanding absentee ballots.
Expanding these options will be especially important for vulnerable populations like senior citizens for whom visiting a polling place is not an option during the pandemic.
Congress must help states prepare for this unprecedented election and give states the resources they need to ensure the election is safe and secure. Americans—especially the most vulnerable among us—shouldn’t have to choose between their right to vote and their health.
Call Mitch McConnell and tell him to give states what they need to hold a safe and secure election in November.
